your-space as part of ‘Academy. Learning from the Museum’

Dear contributor, interested parties and visitors of your-space,

‘Academy. Learning from the Museum’ has officially closed it doors for the public end of November 2006. We would like to thank you for your great input, support and contributions.

The last 8 months have been full of experience, learning, adaptation, flexibility, trial and error. During the time of the entire project contributors, visitors and people working in the museum have become witnesses and at the same time activists in the developing process of your-space. We were able to observe how your-space has advanced to a multi-disciplinary space for discussion and contemplation for local art production within national and also international interest. Eventually your-space will continue after Academy in the Van Abbemuseum as a Plug In!

We hope that you also enjoyed being part of this great achievement. We were cheered and thankful for every initiative that was taken on by you as a contributor of your-space to take the idea of “What can we learn from the Museum?” to another level or steering it into another direction.

With best regards,

Charles Esche & Kerstin Niemann
